We as Indians love our sarees and our dupattas- the colours, the fabric , the mood of the occassion ! it’s what defines us. But we’ve been caught up replicating the west too much so here is an ode to the desi in us. The part of us that haggles for 20 rupees at sarojini , the part of us that loves that extra chutney !

We decided to create a contemporary look with a touch of desi. The look is refreshing and easy to pull off !We Paired this maxi skirt with a crop top . A very staple combination these days. The broad red border gives the look an ethnic feel to it and the crop top is simple and on trend. Add a phulkari dupatta and see how the look transforms from being ordinary to absolutely stunning. Wearing my favorite jhumkas and black heels , the look doesn’t need more to feel complete; the dupatta is the star of the look and that’s how it should be !
